Whats the best way to fix a cap that is making my 3 wheeler stall out. The cap has an on/off switch. After 10 15 min it stalls. Wait a few and it starts again. Should I drill out the switch and run a hose? Is there a way to fix it without drilling?

I would soak it in some kind of solvent then blow it out with a high pressure air source. Its probably clogged up if your sure thats the problem. I wouldnt drill it because then it would let moisture in and let gas freely flow out if tipped.

The valve on mine was broken so it vented no matter if the switch was on or off. I had plans of deep water crossings and didnt want water in my tank, so i drilled out the valve and put in a shrader valve for a tubless tire (with the core removed). i then ran a tube from the shrader valve to the airbox (which had an improved snorkel)
if you cant get your vent cleared out you could do what i did, but only use a foot or so of tube so its just like alot of the newer quads. If your worried about gas spilling out you could get one of those small one way check valves from a dirtbike, that would let air in but not let gas out.

I've fixed this problem by spraying brake cleaner into the vent and then blowing it out with high pressure air. If that dont work, try drilling it out and putting a nipple with a hose on it.
