Hey everyone.

went out yesterday for a nice ride with my 200x, first time since i got my new gas tank. but anyways. i started to notice that when shifting from first to second it sometimes would just stay in neutral. and it happened more then once. i would be going in first, try to get to second and nothing i would have to try one or two times then i could give it some gas in second and keep going up through the gears.

so anyways. on my XR200R they have kinda the same issue and it is cause by a worn out shift star and shift forks. i replaced mine in the XR and now it shifts great. so what do you all think? i didnt look at the shift star or forks when i put the new kicker gears in so i dont know how they look. could it be something inside the case?

I also fixed an XR200 last summer with the star wheel problem.

It COULD be in the center case but is usually on the outer shifting mechanism. Pull off the clutch cover and check it out. Waste of time guessing......

yes i always could be in the center case, but god i hope not!!

yeah your right its bad to guess what is wrong. but i just installed a new gasket and i would hate to have to buy another one just to do a little looking around. also if i did find out it was the shift star and fork then what? does honda still supply them at all? or would have have to trust someone with a parts motor that their park is in great condition.

if anyone here does have extra parts like that let me know.

Thanks
