Hi, I have a 1983 ATC 185s, it started ticking crazy so i just picked up another engine that ran great, It's from a 1981 ATC 185s. I was just wondering if everything will bolt up to it that I have on my 83'? I know the 81' has a manual decompression but I'm pretty sure you can just interchange those between the 81' and 83' so my automatic decompression will work on my 81' engine. But one thing I am not sure about is if the wires coming from the recoil part on the 81' engine will connect to my wiring for my 83' that is allreayd on teh frame? Also will everything else match up right? Thanks everyone in advance for all your help!

Honda never really changed these engines so it should drop right in and bolt up to all your existing hardware. The valve covers will swap also so you can ditch the manual decomp. cover and yes those wires will connect as the original ones did.

There was just a bolt on the top of the 81's valve cover, I just loosened that and the little manual decomp. lever and the shaft connected to it just slid right out, so I think i can interchange them that way? What do you think? Thankss.
