Im looking for a tire that will slide easily under a stock 350x. Are turf tamers by Carlisle any good? Any recomendations?

I used turf tamers on my 200x and loved them for handleing. The ground cleaance is reduced obviously and you will have to go up on the front sprocket to make up for the tires in gearing. I just bought a 350x with Holeshots on it. I have not ridden it much yet but from what I can tell I like them to this point.

I've had Turf Tamers on everything I've ridden in the woods for the past 15 years (250R's and 350X's) and they've been very good to me. They aren't the greatest mud tire in the world and aren't the most puncture resistant either but they have never let me down. You just need to be a little careful is all. I run 20's on a 9" rim.

Very thin weak sidewall, as long as it's not rocky, they are a good knobby tire. Just like Razr's or Holeshots...........

I just want to be able to kick the rear end out around turns to keep my speed up. I plan to go with 20x11x9s if I can find them.
SCEADU-Im down near Valdosta.

Anyone know about these? Is this the one youre talking about? Their Maxxis RZRII.

those look like regular razrs, wich are awsome tires, but a bit heavy, the rzrII's are HEAVY and have a much more agressive tread pattern.
out of the 2 go with regular rzrs

Weak sidewall or not, if you ride with your head you'll have no problems. I've got many years of riding without incident.

I swear by my DUROs...they really do hook up great in a straight line, but the slight twitch of a butt cheek and you can slide that rear end out easily.
just put a set of 20x11x9s on the 350x and have a set of 18s on the 200x.
also...they will go through some mud...the channel in between grips just rips up chunks.
an added bonus...they are cheaper than all hell at rockymountainatv.com

Cmon over to the rocky parts of NewEngland. I'll add your torn sidewalls to the 7 I have stacked up now. Either that or I'll be looking behind for you all day long.....

Im looking for a tire that will slide easily under a stock 350x. Are turf tamers by Carlisle any good? Any recomendations? They're real good. Nice strait line traction and predictable slideability. The side wall is no weaker then any other 2 ply tire.

if you want an indestructible tire...go with a kenda bearclaw. 6ply, with no air in them you can't tell. I put some serious mileage on my old ones for three years, and when i sold the bike, he tires were still in great shape.
i don't think a single rock will be able to tear up that sidewall either.

LMAO, serious? The Bear Claw is about the worst suggestion you could make for a 350x! I mean if you need 6ply Kenda you'd want to go with a Klaw XC.

the tire is heavy man, 26 pounds actually, but on any terrain except mud...it slides A LOT. all about pounds per square inch. the 350x has the torque to pull them easily, i had them on a 250 yami that had 12ft pounds of torque and it could spin them in 3rd.
plus if you go with the 22x12x9, it will sit at about 21 inches at 3psi and be nearly 14 inches wide.
i'm very curious though, why don't ya like em? lol

i would have to agree about the duro's.
if they are too loose, you could just drop air a little.

You don't want all that weight in your tires. You'll get your best performance out of a nice light 2 ply tire. I wouldn't go any more then that on a trike. I sure wouldn't go with a 22" either. Each man likes their own setup but you still need to know your handicaps. With that Zoolander avatar I just assumed you were a little more in tune with performance riding. Either way, if you needed extra ground clearance and want a heavy duty tire go with a 21" Knarly XC or a Holeshot GNCC. Both of those tires will be lighter and perform better then a Bear Claw.

I still say Turf Tamers make for one sexy ass on a trike!

ha, the bearclaw was in response to dirtcrasher's comment about tearing up a sidewall...that won't happen with a bearclaw. I personally only have 18in and 20in duros on my bikes.
but i won't lie to you, if using the throttle for your turns, the bearclaw might honestly NOT be that bad. just because of how easy it slides, how stiff, and how wide it is. honestly, when was the last time you saw a tire that measured over 14 inches wide on the back of a trike?
for performance, I like duros.

I run them on my 200x and like them alot. I havent had any puntures in them yet and been riding them for 2 years. I have 2 friends that use them on there 400s and 450 and they like them to.
