Like what has already been said, it kinda depends on where you're at as to what one's worth. There have been a few change hands around here for less than $600 that were rideable, but I never fall upon one of those deals before they're gone.
I've got way too much in my '86, and it needs about $400 put in it still.
It came to me in pieces. A freshly blasted/painted frame with new steering stem bearings, good forks/seals/new boots freshly painted bars attached to it. All brand new fenders(rears still in my closet in the plastic), new left shroud(crappy Maier right shroud).
Came with a new cutch kit, all gaskets, new seat rubber grommets, new Ricky Stator complete ignition system in a box, excellent conditioned original wheels/original tires with about 3/4 tread still on them, 38mm Mikuni flatslide carb, excellent/undinged CRF headpipe, good motor bottom end, and a new Kawasaki piston kit in a box.
Needs a lower chain roller, chain slider, swingarm bearing kit(got a new All Balls kit)installed, a silencer(got one I think will work) ,intake boot, and cylinder repair.....then it will be good to go.
I traded a '92 KX250 (needed a topend) for it and got $300 boot in the deal. I had wayyyyy too much in the KX(about $1600) when it blew the piston apart, and decided that if I was going to have a project, I'd rather it be the Tecate(which I love), intead of the KX(which I only LIKED).......so I'm in this Tecate deep.
But I'm happy with that.

i paid 260 for mine but mine was a skeleton when i got it. no plastics or motor, nothing but a basic rusted up cowshit ridden roller. i have a lot into it now, im at the point i basically need the motor. aside form that its all there. will be running soon enough.
