o.k. so I sold my mint 200x for a decent price. There was a semi local 84 250r for 1k, called and talked to the guy, told him I'd go $900. He said that was fine but would be away for the weekend. A friend of mine had a couple buddies that had a few trikes. Said he had a decently clean 83 250r he'd sell for $600. After alot of waiting he finally called and said we could go see it.
We took a drive out to their shop. When we got there one of them was out riding a 250r. Honestly not too bad. he pulled it into the shop. We went in and there was two air foolers in there. The guy pointed at another one not in as good of shape (semi clean). The one guy that was riding it said well I'll take $800 for the semi clean one, 1000 for the nicer one.
To make a long story short, after some talking I walked out with BOTH of them for 1k. The one I want to keep was recently done .20 over, milled, has bigger carb, pipe, all the brakes and shock work good. It is snappy and runs hard. the other one they said they honestly made it from all the spare parts they had. It needs some plastics badly, but some how they got a super low hour bone stock motor. It runs so smooth Idles perfect, only major downfall is the rear shock is blown.
I also got to take a look at a super clean liquid they had and the mythical 350x that you never see around here.
