They make really nice stuff but I must give them a negative on one account .....
After much disscussion on holes being drilled wrong on my 84 R PRM swingarm skidplate and them inisisting I had the wrong swingarm on my 84R I sent them pic's and proved them wrong, then I got no reply.
I then contacted them again, asking if they were all that way, if the ones that were wrong were going to be updated so other members/customers will have corrected ones, no reply again.
I tried one more time simply stating I don't understand why I'm the one helping them out with trying to make their product 100% right and don't get a thank you of any sort, no reply again, so like I said, with customer communications, when you do find fault with build quality (just a measurement actually), they back down then, this I don't respect at all.
So if anyone purchases one, be sure and ask if the rear holes are spaced right, mine are too far apart and to this day they still insist all of them are that way and never had any complaints, I don't believe them.
They may of had a good batch and I was the 1st one to get the "bad" ones, who knows but you can even see on their website that the holes are too far apart.
In their defense they did say send it back along with OEM guard and they will widen the holes, I appreciate that but told them no need to, I can easily do that myself, my main concern was only that they correct the problem for the next customer and I got no reply back on that situation. I asked for a lousy 10 bucks off on it too, since it is not correct, no reply on that either. It would of cost them way more to correct it with shipping both ways, so I just don't get it.

I'll buy their product, have been buying it since 1987, but not from them. Their service really sucks and their shipping charges to me are outrageous. They wanted to charge me $50.00 to ship a 2 lb. grab bar and there were no options. Find a dealer, then buy the product. or just go E-Bay. That's what I do.
But I agree. GOOD PRODUCT, THEIR SERVICE SUCKS.
TORKER.
I can see where you would be upset Huffa.
I went thru a similar problem with a company that makes carriers.
I paid $229.00 for it,it never fit my machine correctly, they said it was my bike that was the problem.
So I put it in the same model machine.NO fit.
They had a lifetime guarantee on it,they did not recess the bearing cup stops enough. It was workman ship problems.
When I contacted them they wanted to carge me 75 bucks plus shipping,to send it in to be remachined.I said forget it,listed it on Ebay as being a bad part, that could be repaired, and recouped only 60 bucks of my $229.
To this day,I will not run there stuff at all.I have bought machines with thier items on it,and removed them, and chucked them in the garbage.
They are a big company, and I bought from them when they first hit the market,so I am sure it was a oversight. But a problem that cost me 160 bucks in the end for nothing. When you say lifetime garuntee, you should stand by it.
As far as buying company direct goes,Folks need to realize that they fill orders in huge quantites for their distrubitors/dealers.They make filling those orders a priority over joe smhoo calling in for 1 product.
Is it fair or the right thing to do?NO.But it is a Dollars and Cents thing.
A single order nets them a profit of 20 bucks, but a distributor ordering 50 of those items nets a huge profit.
I agree with Torker, that in most cases,if you want a product from a company, you will recieve it faster and have better luck with customer service from a company that is a dealer or distributor for that product.

Huffa, thanks for the heads up, like you, I like their products too. I had to widen the holes on an AC racing skid for my 400EX, now that I think of it, I still just have 3 bolts in it, hehe, need to finish it up (it's been on there 3 years!).

I buy PRM'S products, and am happy there is still one company left out there that still makes accessories for our 3wheelers. I always let them know i appreciate their services. In reality how much money do you think they make off our trikes? Not much. And their stuff is so reasonable in the first place, i could care less about shipping. Try and make one yourself and see how much time, money, and what it looks like when done. The REAL money is in new quad parts for them. They could drop us like a bad habbit, and it wouldn't mean sh-- to them. But how about us?

There little quality control on anything anymore. Somtimes you get a good pc somtimes theres a mess up. I ve been working on hotrods for a long time and that is normal in the car aftermarket. Some companys have better customer service then others some don`t. I`m sure your not the first one that called on it. But they probally sell a few a yr and get one call if lucky most people just shrug there shoulders and drill there own holes.

It's not about them making a mistake at all, that doesn't bother me what so ever, no big deal , ignoring me REALLY does bother me though especially when I am helping out the company, showing that I care.

They would not give you a total refund ? I see you don't mention a name but the price seems familure ebay wise, is that where you gopt it from, just so I know or can figure out who you are talking about so I don't make the same mistake.
What all do they sell ?
What really gripes me too is that PRM knows they are wrong and with the equipment they have they could easily in no time correct the ones to the right specs. They can't have that many made already for an 84 R ?
They are now a huge comapany, and I am sure they have improved thier products.
But the salty taste will always be in My mouth.
As far as I am concerend, they owe me 160 bucks still,6 years later!
