Hey, boys and girls.

I have a question to ask you: I recently got a set of 3 mini accessory lights. They are rated at 12 volts, and 55 watts each. I would like to run all 3 on a stock machine with a stock stator. The machine in question is a utility, and has a 12 volt, 10 amp plug-in outlet. I am wondering if I can hook them all up in parallel, set up a toggle switch for the circuit, and run them on the front of the machine? Will that be overloading the system?

Thanks in advance,
Akim (RedRider_AK)

Well each light would draw 4.58 amps so with 3 you would be looking at 13.75 amps. The stator may handle it but the fuse wont

Hm... Is it safe to stick a 15 amp fuse in there and run them like that? Or would I have to tap into my lighting circuit and run them along with the factory lights, off the handlebar switch?

id run 2 off that plug then one off the lighting coil.

I would do what 84honda said. You could upgrade it to a 15 amp circuit but you would have to go at least one gauge thicker wiring from the fuse to the light to stop the change of melting wires
