84 250r tranny issues...

ok, 3rd and 5th gears are gone. when i hit 3rd it will slow the trike down, give it gas and nothing happens. nothing happens when i hit 5th. is it possible to fix this w/o splitting the bottom end?????

My 83R and my sisters 83R did that in third gear. Both times it was where the two gears mesh together. Both required total dismantle.

If you don't have a magic wand you're going to have to split the cases. Sorry.:(
