In the past few months, I have sold three 250Rs. I did some trading and sold a couple outright. I have been kinda looking for another to beat around. This one was less than 5 miles away! The guy was trying to sell it a few months back for $2000.00. He listed it last night on a local classified site for $1200.00. I ended up giving him a grand. Brand new tires and wheel spacers. Fresh top end, and runs really strong. Also came with a set of factory rims and decent tires, and a set of Sand Sharx tires. Also five gallons of fuel! I was wondering if anyone on here recognizes this R. The guy bought it off ebay less than 5 months ago.

i have a 86 TRI-Z, and in the future i'd like to have Honda 250R too...

There is a 82 250r on Boise, Idaho's craigslist for $650.00

Looks to be a decent lower hour unit.Slap a nice seat on that,some elbow grease,and it will look even better than now.Lately,on Ebay,R's have been bringing some major coin.I say you did good for the price.
Nice find.
Wish mine was that clean when I got it.

Thats a little far for me! I would like to find a 1st gen R close and cheap. Ive owned 4 or 5 81/82 Rs back in the day. I have 3 better seats sitting in my garage. Im glad I didnt sell them a few weeks ago.

My buddy in town just stopped over and said he went to buy this R, but someone had allready bought it. I said " you snooze, you lose". I knew this would be gone quick! He is a young high school kid, that I sold my 84R to him a year ago. He wants a waterpumper, but I always beat him to them. We looked over the trike and it has alot of goodies on it. I will take some close up pics. Im pretty happy to find one SO CLOSE to home. Best of all, the guy delivered it to my house.

I spent an hour or so today switching the seat out and cleaning a little. I think it cleaned up pretty good. The rear fender is new, as is the front. Heres a few shots of the R and the tires that came with it. Anyone know what kind of silencer, handlebars are on this? Also is this a 200X head light? It looks new!
