cool head dome question

so i have a cool head for my R and i am thinking of getting a big bore kit,my question is do i need a whole new head or can i just get a replacement dome that will work with the larger bore size?and if so who can i get them from?

if you getting your stock cylinder resleeved to a big bore kit like i did then you need the cool head dome rechmabered. or you can sirf ebay and spend about $150 for the whole thing.

i have a friend who is a machinist im sure that he could do the machining where do i get a larger diameter dome for the big bore?

you dont machine the head you machine the dome. contact yamahondaman here on the boards he does great metal work and does heads for us members.
