Tecate Champion +2 Swingarm

I am looking at getting one and I have heard that there are reproduction ones out there that are not the real deal. Just wondering if there was a way to tell which ones are real and which ones are fake

not sure how you will be able to tell. i do know that champion swingers have a champion sticker on them.

Grind on them to distinguish the chromoly sparks from the regular mild steel. lol j/k

Just for your own information, the Champion's pivot bearing housing is a little smaller then what the stock tecate bearing is. You will need to have the housing machined to fit the stock T3 bearings. Nothing major but still a pain to find out the hard way.

there are no reproduction ones out there,i dont know who is telling you that.all the ones out there are originals bought from me.i am also selling them myself.they came straight from the guy who produced them back in the 80's,i bought him out and have all he had at the time.once they are gone,they are gone forever.

Not true. I bought an original from you back when and about a year or more later someone built mild steel copies and sold them for round $125 each.

Yours is still on ebay isn't it 3Tigers?

true,but they didnt advertise them as a champion swingarm.

I would have to disagree with big green on the mild steel ones. I bought one a few years back off ebay for 120$. It was listed as being made from 4130 cromoly steel . They were powder coated white and had the same bearing issues. Mine weighs 8 pounds. I wonder what the champion weighs compared to the knock offs . They look to be identical swingarms . Someone did some great work.

It was just on ebay and I got a second chance offer on it, here are the pics. The way the sticker is not on straight in one of the pics makes me wonder. Thanks for all the replys
