Hi there guys:
I've been working on my Z for some time now, but came to a stop.
I've gotten dads steering stem bearings and have read all the threads I could find on this matter, but I can't get it to fit properly. The top bearing race sticks out way too much and it does not look like it could be removed or if it is removed the other will have anything to sit on. SEE PIC...

Can anyone tell me the "how to" for these? I know a lot of you have gone thru this. But I can't seem to work this out. So, once again, I turn to you guys.
Thanks
TORKER.

Mine was the same way. try pounding it it with a 5lb hammer and a block of wood or something soft. I think I just let mine go and it was fine. Can't really remeber tho.

Your gonna have to leave it like that. The cap that goes on top of the bearing will cover it enough. I was having the same problem with mine. I took my old frame and tried to beat and dremel that lip where the race butts up against to gain that extra room but it seems impossible to git rid of it. later
