finally got my motor back together yesterday:w00t: but its got oil leaking out of the cdi at the bottom. we was gonna put some rvt around the gasket to keep it from leaking. why is this oil there? the little seal behind the cdi? we looked it up and the seal is like $4. gonna order it tomarrow but for now think we are gonna just rvt so we ride it around{not hard} just to get everything seated good.

I'm having this now on my 200x. It's like a watery brown goo leaking out by the pulse generator. Is the seal around the cam bad if this is happening? (number 10 in this diagram)

if you have oil in it you need the new seal, i just bought a new oem one to replace because if im rip a motor appart its getting all new gaskets and seals if it needs it or not.

the seal easy to replace, just take a flat head screw driver and push it out, then get it to seat nice with the end of a screw driver taping it in. replace box seal and gasket at the CDI

Ok thanks I figured it would have to be that seal not really any other places it could leak.
