hey
I just tore my 200x down and changed some tranny and kick start gears. I put it back together and fired it up but there the cam chain was pinging. I backed off the 14mm bolt like the manual says but the tinging doesnt go away/get any less noisy. So I pulled off the pulse generator so I could back the tensioner off again and kick it over to watch it try and tension itself but most of the time it did nothing then sometimes one side would tension or both would tension a little bit but you can almost take the chain off the cog when it tensioned the best I could get it. I only rode it for about 3 days before I stripped the sprocket shaft but I dont recall the cam chain pinging that badly. The new d.i.d chains come with a master link and the chain on it now currently doesnt..could this mean its still the original chain and worn this badly or is there a fault in the tensioner. Any input would be appreciated.
