From what I've read it's not too useful, and it's supposed to give more spark, though from what I've read, it is crappy and it even takes spark sometimes.

Back in the day a company called answer I think made them. They plugged in linto your wiring hareness as somekind of assist.

yes Answer made them , they did increase spark but mainly changed ignition timing to smooth out power to a more usefull range intead of a on/off power hit.

Inline resistor, makes a weak spark look ballsier. There a gimmick.

From what I've read here on the boards, they're useless.

Just as useless as spending $200 on the I-Cat.

I had one back in the day when they first came out in '87. I thought it made an improvement on my Tecate 4. But hey, I was only 16 years old. At least it looked cool. l.o.l. I do have one on my 85 Tecate that originally came off of a kx 500. Did absolutely nothing. But once again, it looks cool. UNNNNN!!!!!!

its an in line inductor. I tore one apart a few years back. It adds delay time to the ignition pickup signal so the timing is delayed. Waste of money, it doesnt change spark voltage.

Do the same thing for free by taking the key off the crank and changing the flywheel position. Just make sure its locked down good n tight and that the tapers are smooth so the rotor cannot spin on the crank.
