HELLO
i bought this manco trike about 4 months ago and noticed a couple of thing's that you guys might be able to help me with. this thing will not turn on ice or slippery road's,i have tried letting air out and it still don't help. and these tires are weird if you look at all the photos of these trikes the tires all look the same .like they never wear out. these tires are hard even with the air out.
now my 185 will go anywhere you point it i can do circles around the manco, why is this ? wat can i change to make it turn better? im even thinking about converting it to a 4 wheeler,my lady dont even want to ride this thing! help guys!
if you need more info just tell me wat you need.

You could put in a few tire studs to help.

You need to lean forward to put your weight on the front tire, I have to do this on all my trike when I'm riding on the ice.
What is the model of the front tire?

hello
it has a carlisle 21-12-8 on the front, and leaning forward dont help either. and on the honda i dont have to lean forward at all so it confuses me.

You have no front weight to the machine.
The honda has a better weight balance, but even my s model sucks to turn on ice.
Shift your weight to the outside of the direction of the turn and give it some gas to break the tires loose.

Yes, I think it's a weight distribution problem, my big red turn better on the ice because the wengine weight is located more on the front tire than my yamaha ytm-200. I like the throttle lever and the front disk brake on the manco.

Snowmobiles often have the same problem if the track has studs, but your skags (ski-blades) are worn out. Why? The track has more power and traction to push the skis forward, than the skis have traction to turn the sled to the side.
Same problem with your Manco, the front tire has maybe a couple square inches of contact patch, without much weight on it either. The rear has at least double that, and more weight to push down on it. Install a few roofing-type screws into the center row of lugs on the front tire, and it will magically gain traction and will steer on the ice. Hell, another way people used to compensate for this was stick some weight-lifting rings on the front axle to give it some weight.
On a side note, I'm having the same problem right now with my Big Bear quad. Need to stick some studs on it.
