kxt 86 rear shock

Does a 2001 raptor rear shock fits in a kxt 86?
Is there any modification that has to be done?

This has been asked many times on the boards (a couple of times by me) with little or no responses. Truthfully, I do not think anybody knows. If you do it please let the rest of us know how it works as my 86 shock is blown.
