86 tecate throttle

i have a thumb throttle on mine with a broken cable. wondering if another cable will interchange? or could the thumb throttle and cable off a 86250r work possibly??

what kind of thumb throttle is it? what bike is it off off? im not sure on this but have heard that the suzuki z400 thumb throttle and cable work fine. me personally i have a moose racing thumb throttle and and it came with the cable.
