Looks good......how labor intensive is the process?

If I can make that colored plastic, then it shouldbt be that much. I have had enough for 4 shrouds it seems from these two chemicals, and that was 70.00

Not too bad in labor, just irritating because without a clear mold, i cant see if I get every crevice.

One problem, is that on the rear where I pour in the plastic, the mold has a mark that leaves it a bit thin. Cant crack it yet, but im trying.

it comes in almsot EXACTLY the same, and the mount holes line up.

Looks pretty good:Bounce before I jump in and say I'll take a bunch, how much do you want per set? I'd be interested in white and yamahaish blue.

I would take a pair of red ones if you could make them. How much would it cost and are they flexible like maier plastic?

I didn't read anywhere in his posts that they were for sale. lol They look pretty cool tho. my hat goes off to you for at least stepping up and taking a shot at it.

I'd be careful about selling homemade shrouds to memebers on this site. god forbid they crack or dont hold up well. they lynch mob will be knockin at your door in no time!

What kinda chemicals or what's all involved in making these? (just outta curiosity)

I wont be selling until i get this perfect. Also the colors are dyes I ass in, so I have to find the right dosages. So far the shrouds have held up to; hammer, dropping, and a few stepping on them.

looks pretty nice! If you start selling them, I'd be down for a set something similar to the honda seat cover blue.

there may be some that "lynched" him but not all of us...I have a set of his on my '86 and couldn't be happier. also Twilight making and selling these was discussed in another thread, this thread, it seems me, is a follow up to that thread.

Indeed, but one thing. I am anal about making things, so these will go through a lot of trials before I produce them in bulk

I have received a few e-mails about other parts. I can make smaller plastic parts with no problems thanks to the molds being small. But rear fenders and fronts I cannot.

A member here is sending me a Short Track Tank shroud to try and make one of those. the 200x are coming along fine. I cant seem to find the true coloration that honda uses, so anyone with that info would really be helping =)

if your going to use red, milano red is very close to the honda red color.

I believe it is Sunrise Red made by rustoleum that is a perfect match for Honda red. IDK how to convert that to plastic though......

Look at MAIER, there fenders are way off from OEM..... WHY? aside from a patent?
