hey guys i'm on the hunt for info/pics/links/ etc.. for the old kx60 and kx80 conversion kits. Im not sure if mine is a tricky dicks or a pro design. I'm not sure if its a kx60 or a kx80 conversion. It is missing lots of parts, but it also has some good parts. If you have ANY and i mean ANY info on these you can email it to me at dizasterzrfun69@aol.com thanks

thanks a ton, let me know if ya find anything.
i believe this is a "pro-design" kx80 conversion kit rather than the tricky dicks kx60 kit i thought it was. the swinger has some cracks in it too  it's all good though.

:D just gotta be at the right place at the right time i guess. I know that trikeaholic had on back in like 03 and then he sold the kit to another board member. Other than that i dont know of ANY people that actually own one.

yea it's a MESS. With what i have into it i think i'll be able to get it up and running in pretty good shape for about what an atc70 sells for now days. I think i might go all the way and get everything re-plated like the axle, hubs, etc.. we'll see. but im definately not letting it go anywhere

i think the frame is pretty well trashed, its got angle iron welded on it in one spot and some other cobbled up stuff. it uses the kx dirtbike frame though. The swinger also has some cracks in it that will have to be repaired. I might see about getting a duplicate swinger made. i didnt see the swinger was cracked until i got it home, oh well.

I went to the dealership yesterday to see if they could tell me what the frame was with the vin. he said it's an 84 and thats all he could tell me. I said "dam" and then decided to start looking for info. I've been looking and it appears that it is in fact an 84 but its a kx80 (originally thought it was a kx60). it uses the 84 kx80 front forks, rotor, and caliper. The rear brakes on the 84 kx80 is drum and on this conversion it's disc. I'm not sure what rear brakes were used but the rear master is "enginetics" which is commonly used on race-karts. We have a local karting shop in town so i think i'm going to take it in there and see if they recognize any of the rear end.
This is kinda fun, it's making my head hurt but its fun. :TrikesOwn

That looks like a chromoly swinger. Is the axle hollow? Hi Performance Atc was known for their hollow axles. I have one on my rd350 powered frame. I know there were 4 wheeled kx60 and kx80 conversions. I had to work over due to an ice storm last night, so I haven't had much of a chance to check my Hi Performance Atc Catalog. What about it blue27? I think there was a kx trike conversion in that catalog.

Check out this link for scans from High Performance ATV. They made KX and YZ 80 4 wheel conversions. 3 to 4 conversions, and suspension conversions for the atc 185s. That one page with the KX on it is all I have on dirt bike conversions. There is a pic of a 60 on the 2nd page lower left. Maybe someone from Boyertown, PA could look for it. haha.

Nope no pics in my catalog, just an ad for A+ in an older dirtwheels , but yours is not an A+ ( I will keep looking). The Tigers use a rear master cylinder similar to yours from Gremeka.
