Home from work sick today, so killing time on 3ww.. when arent I...

I figured Id post up some pics of my collection of trikes. I am pretty much completing/finishing up the ultimate "relive childhood" collection for myself. I am really happy cause the ebay thing is getting ridiculous for good parts these days and I am just about done with all the hard to finds on each trike.

This started out with the yellow tri-z that was my daily rider 5 years ago, then escalated 2 tri-zs, then a 250r, blah blah blah. Here I am today with 6 trikes in 5 years. I wouldn't have it any other way.

4 of the trikes were completely renovated with new plastics all around, powdered frames and as much as i could get/find for the cosmetics. The basement bikes are the show rides, with exception of the tecate - thats going down there soon. I build them in my basement because its difficult to get them out the bulkhead with out tearing them down again - keeps me from riding them (plus there is heat) . 87 200x is in progress with mainly engine and brakes to finish up.

the 350x and other 250r are riders to boot - all new maier plastics to look good on the trails and just keep them in nice running shape. I beat the snot out of the 250r weekly, 350x not so much.

Each trike needs a few things but i am in no hurry, i am going to sit back and watch them appreciate in value (or not) and enjoy. I am in it for the long haul, these bikes will be with me as long as i can help it. I noticed alot of members selling out these days - not me.... This is my hobby

Once they are done , i am cleaning up the basement too:crazy: :w00t: I also havent had a clean floor in 5 years either with these oily, greasy relics.

After that its " I wannnnnna ride, I wannnnna ride, I wannnnna ride........" You know what i am talking about PA boys...........................Meds are kicking in..

I just wanted to say - I picked that 87 200x up from Brapp the first week of November. It needed a complete everything. Since that time of 3 1/2 months - i have witnessed 6 - 86 or 87 200xs parted completely out. All nice riders too. Numbers are dropping....

you my friend have a great collection. I love the idea of basement assembly to keep you from riding them. Do you fire them up down there ever?

I know I would have to.........

the Big 3 collection is an awesome one to have!

and that 87 200X is icing on the cake!

Cool man - thanks for sharing

Love the collection... Like the idea of building them in the basement but the more i think about it, what happens if it floods or your house catches fire??? you'll never get your trikes out.... but on the plus side, noone can steal them...

Great pics as always, Paul. I really like the red tank with white scoops on your 350X, looking good. How's the 200X motor coming along? That too, looks awesome, even though I like the looks of the '86 200X better:D

I started the tecate up down there once and never again - smoke everywhere in my house.... My dream is too have a shootout of the 3 bad boys, some day. For now I just dump wd40 in the cylinders and spin/kick them once and a while.. Tri-z still needs its topend put together.

Thanks everyone...

too funny brrcuda cant wait to come up and ride with ya sometime! and i also have my trikes in the basement but drag them through a regular door with the rear tires off and my old lady pulling the handlebars! it takes two wich def keeps me from taking the z out often! it will be at raffas this weekend though!! your collection is what i dream about on a regular basis!!!

Very nice trikes. I'm working on the "Big Three" collection as well. Yet, I dont have the will power that you have, mine just HAVE to be ridden! You are sooooooooo right about the 200Xs, just makes me sick to see the really nice ones get parted.

Thanks for the comments everyone - i appreciate it.

April will be the start of a heavy riding season for me this year. I will keep you all posted soon. Alot of riding to do this year and if anyone wants to come and see what we have to offer, you are more than welcome - i see alot of new englander's checking in here. I love riding with other trikes.

Mt Washington ride in late July too. Tecate might make an appearance.....
