250R Reeds question

Someone told me before that the reedcage from any year R is interchangeable. Just want to double check because I want to get Vforce reeds and I saw that they make one for 85-up R's. So if they're interchangeable I'll order them next week.

Unless you have 85-86 250R those reeds will do you no good.

you say that because they won't fit? or because they're built for the l.c. motor and they won't make power?

anybody? I remember now....someone on here had a boyesen rad valve from a l.c. R in his 81 or 82...

... the reeds are all the same on all Honda ATV 2-stroke engines from 1981 to 1989. They will also work for all 2 stroke Polaris engines, which are close copies of Hondas 250R motor. Not sure if the cages bolt holes will line up though.
