How can I tighten the parking brake on my '83 200X? I have tried the adjustment on the lever/cable and it didn't work. When I engage it I can still move/ride it without notice. There is a 12mm bolt with a 12mm locknut on the caliper, can I make up some room here? The rear brakes seem to function well with normal usage. Thanks.

back the lock nut off the caliper, then turn the long bolt in till you feel resistance, then i think you back the long bolt off 1/8 turn. then tighten the lock nut up.

Before even trying to get it to work, take it all apart and grease it up - oil the cable while your at it!

Take those 2 bolts off that e brake housing with the worm gear inside and trust me, it's gonna be white and dry and seized. Lube that puppy up....

It worked, thanks for the help! I took it apart, cleaned it out, and adjusted it, works perfectly now.:w00t:
