I got tired of looking for a seat, so I made one. I used my rusted out tired seat pan as a mold. This project cost me about $30.00. I reused the factory studs and front mounts. I guess due to age and weather my seat cover dried out so I could not reuse it, I used marine grade vinyl at a cost of $8.00. I am satisfied with the fit with the exception of the fit at the fuel tank. I wanted it to finish snug but o well maybe next time. Let me know what you guys and gals think.

Geez, I wouldnt complain if mine turned out like that. Thats a pretty good job. Mine is rusted extremely bad. Do you use your seat pan as a mould, or is it still part of it covered in fiberglass? If it was only a mould I wouldnt mind having one made aswell. Looks good.

I used the pan as a mold just lay wax paper on the top and put a layer on. Once it dries remove it from the old pan and add another layer to the top. I t has a total of 4 layers and I glassed in the studs after the second layer. Hardest part is getting the final semetrical shape.

I like this seat even more now because a stock 82r seat just sold for 232.50 on ebay.

Yeah, this is the 1st attempt. When I have more time I am going to pull it apart and perfect it. The fit is ok but around the fuel tank needs to be better.

I have a 200e seat pan that is rusted. Do you used a hand stapler to hold the vinyl on the fiberglass?

I will try to get off work early sat. If so, I might be able to make a night ride. I would hate to mis the opportunity to ride with other trike riders.
