Awhile back there was a 3WW member who converted an atc 200 (I think) into a two wheeled FatCat style bike he called the "Fat Ass", lol........ I have done a search and can't come up with this machine. I have a 185 frame, 200 motor, etc....... thinking about trying this conversion myself  , so.... any leads on some info regarding this machine, pics, etc would be appreciated. :beer

I remember seeing a 200s,, an air fooler and another 200x conversion listed on ebay a ways back. very cool.and most of them were very well done. I'm too lazy to search the forums tho.
Someone posted about a triz not too long ago as well.

Hey 200X... this is exactly what I had in mind for my project, thanks for posting this. I remember the FatAss bike I saw had no rear suspension... and a short wheelbase... this thing is alright, minus the blue duct taped seat though, lol. that rear swinger is a cool bit of fab work. Check it out.... there is a small length of chain running to a jack shafts inboard sprocket from the motor.... with another chain (missing) running from the outer gear to the rear wheel sprocket to clear the wide tire...... cool little bit of engineering there. :beer

The streetbike guys sometimes do that with the super-fat rear tires you see on show or drag bikes. It's called a Club-Foot swingarm, I believe. Pretty typical setup. Cool nonetheless.

Hey Red........ yeah, it is cool... its a new one on me though. Must have missed that episode of "Monster Garage", lol. I wonder what they did for a rear brake on this... or if they even bothered with one. Can't wait to start throwing some parts together...... one thing though, it looks like it would be a blast in the mud pit. :beer

I think the reason you cannot find it is because it might have been posted in the ebay forum... I think I may have a couple pics saved of it... Is this the right one?

Oh yeah! Can you imagine:
- an ATC250R
- CR500 engine conversion
- Missile Kit (or homebuilt conversion)
- Skat Trak Hauler paddle tire on the back (20x11x9 size with 9 paddles)
 That would throw epic amounts of roost... :beer

Hey CR... you found the FatAss!...... thanks for posting these pics. Someone did a very nice job on this, right down to the rear plastics.... looks like it came from the factory this way. Ok... FatAss II is on the way. :beer

When I build one I am gonna use a 8" wheel so I can try a snow paddle on the rear...

What's a "snow paddle"? Different than a sand paddle?

You must have to be spinning the wheels pretty fast for it to increase diameter 40%, If it works it would be cool

Its not really that hard to do, I have stock bald Ohtsu tires on my ATC200, and if your flyin down the road at about 50-55 mph, they get so tall they almost rub the fenders, and so skinny they look like theyre about ready to pop off the rims.

Yes, I have seen that happen myself. The best example I can give of this is actually on my RC10 T3 electric R/C truck. It's got a stock motor, and the tires have been super-glued to the wheels, so the beads don't pop off, but you can hold one tire, pin the throttle and the other side (due to an open diff) will literally stretch to almost twice its normal diameter. The tire is spinning maybe 30 mph at the most.
