Yep, should be a direct swap. Also, if your going for the auto clutch aspect and e-start, the 200sx motor should work as well.

I've read before that the Fatcat is not a direct swap. I believe there is also an issue with the 200SX motors. The top ends swap, but there are some issues with the lower end. I know it's been talked about before, try searchin some of the old stuff.

Good to know! I feel kinda bad, I guess I shouldn't have offered advice i was 100% on. Anyway, Im sure the changes arent to huge and new mounts could solve the problems but i guess im not 100% on that either.

Arent the mounting holes in the case diffrent between the three motors?

Ok, this was bugging me, so I had to do some investigating. The cases are defiantly NOT the same. I'll address each mount point individually.

Top Mount: This is different on each model (SX is wider than the X), BUT it bolts on, so all you would have to do is acquire the mount from the x.

Front Mounts: These look the same on the SX compared to the X. The mounts to the frame are different, but the holes on the case appear to be in the same place.

Top Rear mount: This mount is kinda weird on the X. It is wider on the SX motor than on the X, although it is in the same location. The X only has the mount on 1 of the cases. The SX is on both case halves. Im not sure if you could grind this off the case and make it work, or if some frame mods would be necessary. I think you can see this is some of the previous pictures.

Lower Rear mount: This looks to be the same. But I cant quite tell. The width may or may not be the same.

As far as the fat cat goes, The fronts look the same, but I couldnt find many pics so im not sure on the rest, But I would guess that it is either on or the other of these styles.

Another thing to consider that im not positive about is the sprocket alignment. Also, if you use the fatcat, youll have to use the X kickstart lever as the fatcat is much longer (may kick backwards as well???? no idea) SX only has electric and pull so that wouldnt be a problem.
