The alternator is new but need the plug-ins, they were damaged and missing.
could he be saying that the wires coming out of the alternator were cut?
i doubt it, but could this be a possible 1987 350X engine? especially since he says it was stored since 1990.
i heard that when the engines were pulled for the band they cut the wires when they were pulled.

No that's a 86 engine...... engine number starts with 51 the 87's 350x had the start number of 82
