huh? Is it really that cheap? I guess the guy I got my one pipe from was stretching the truth a bit.. Unless its a higher temp coat. or because it was the entire exhaust that was done.??? Dont know how much of a price diffrence that it.

The sterling or the super Sterling is way cool. add some bling to your thing! :naughty:

Anyone ever had one done up in red? I think that'll look killer!

I sent my Z's pipe to Performance Coatings today. Right at $100.00 bucks. Here is a link http://www.performancecoatings.com/ (http://www.performancecoatings.com/)

I opted for the chromex finish. Look under exhaust coatings once you enter the site.

they also coat pistons with a thermal dispersant!

I got my pipe back from Performance Coatings. Here is a picture of it before and after. It cost me $96.73 with shipping. I am very happy with it. The picture doesn't really do it any justice.

That was coated on the inside (??) too for that price with shipping both ways ?? !!!!

Even if it was just the outside, the price still seems too cheap , not that I'm complaining:lol: .

I paid almost 200 for this from Jet-Hot and that was with me just dropping it off.

This is their extreme sterling though, which was 50 more then the normal sterling but still, by comparison you got a much better deal, but this was painted INSIDE and OUT, yours looks to be too but not positive till you reply.

The finish on both looks identiacl to me. I see one thing odd with yours though, it's seems to be browning/discoloring on the machine, is that so and does that come off ?

Mine doesn't do that at all, still looks the same as when I got it.

yes, mine is coated inside and out. The picture of the trike is before the coating was done, that is why it is discolored.

Dammit!

I got a high rev done for 80 bucks out the door at Jet Hot. It was a local place though. No shipping but I had to pay taxes on it.

The sterling is actually a lot cheaper than black by the way.

I took my trx 450r head pipe to jet hot here in Tempe Arizona and had it coated extreme sterling for 80.00 snaps.
I had the sterling before and it did not last pipe got too hot at the bend and started to flake off and then was recommended by jet hot to try extreme sterling and havent had problem with it and jet hot recommended if it starts to lose it's shine use mothers aluminum polish to shine it up.
One more thing for us here or near the jet hot facility in Tempe Az before you drive your pipe to go to the jet hot website for an estimate for the pipe give the dimensions and what type of coating you want and jet hot will email you the estimate. The difference is about $40.00 between waiting for the estimate via email and me taking it to jet hot and asking them directly for the estimate.
And if you do email look or ask for todd@jet-hot.com he will take care of you and he knows his stuff.
