Hmmm, good question. The 300EX fits in an 86 200X carrier or so I have read. I don't think the 400EX carrier fits the 350X and I'm certain the swingarm does not.

There HAS to be something with the right OD that maybe the width is off and a spacer can be used or the bearings have to change.

ANYONE??

I heard the 300ex carrier works.but I am not for sure.
Max,I have a 300ex carrier here.It has new bearings in it,but it is cracked. It will work fine with the crack. If you want it and it fits the 350,just pay me for the new bearings 25 bucks.

Soooooo, were saying that the swingarms off of a 200X and 350X are both the same length and inside diameter?? I can measure some stuff this weekend but that would be news to me...

I dont think the 350x swingarm is exactly the same, im guessing it wouldnt mount in the frame without mods. But they do look the same where the carrier mounts.

So I take it there is no other carriers that retro to a 85 350x. Sweet! Thanks!

Don't give up yet.. There are a TON of Honda carriers out there that may only require a spacer or something to use them. Remind me to take some measurements this weekend....

There are "new" ones on EBAY for 99$, not sure how good they are but OEM's are tough to win in nice shape. Most are ruined by stupid f#$@! people that ruin the chain adjuster just cuz they wanna ride.....

I am thinking to do this mod,you will have to have the 86 350x sprocket and bolt set-up so it does not rub on the carrier.
So if you have a 85 you will have to convert to the 86 350x sprocket and bolts.

max i have a after market 300ex one in my 85 swinger but i had to grind the head of thesprocket bolts to clear the carrier or use an 86 sprocket and bolts.they are countersunk and clear no problems.

i willget a pic of it i had to grind abotu 1/2 the head off the bolt to make it clear the carrier. i will get a pic to show u what i am talking about.

ok i pointed out 1 of the 4 bolts i had ground down to make clear the carrier i pointed out the clearance with a drill bit and there is only abotu a 1/32 of an inch clearance between it and the carrier but works fine. but if you dont want to grint you can always replace the nuts and bolts with the 86 style and either get new rear sprocket or countersink the 85 style sprocket

Your question was about the 300EX carrier. It's the carrier you need correct?? Brapps' carrier pictured is aftermarket but is it a 350X or 300EX?

The 300EX axle does fit the 350X carrier (or so I'm told, lol - sorry...), but does the 300EX carrier fit the 350X swingarm. The outside diameter of a 300EX carrier may not be the same as a 350X carrier.

Is he running BOTH the axle and the carrier from a 300EX in a 350X swingarm or just a 300EX axle in the aftermarket 350X carrier.

Not trying to confuse anyone, just trying to get it right!
