XR185/ATC200 ... do they mix?

can you put the cylinder, head and piston from an ATC200 onto an XR or XL185 bottom end? i was lookin at an old XR or XL185 (not sure which?) today and it seems to me that the top end is exactly the same as my ATC200 top end ... i was just wondering i anyone knew the size of the srtoke of the XR/XL ... i'd like to do a swap just for the fact that my ATC is a pull start and the XR/XL is a kickstart ... anyone ever done this?

i think an xr200 is a swap, idk about an xr185.

yeah it works...same thing as atc185/200...honda didnt know WTF the were doin early on.

So does this mean I can put a 200 cylinder on a 185 bottom end and use the 185 head?

i know you can def swap out atc185 with atc200 parts .. the only difference between the two is the bore size, they've got the same stroke and everything .... but thats sweet .. i'm picking up the xr/xl motor on tue. and i'll be doin the motor swap sometime within the next couple weeks .... gotta tear the dirtbike motor completely down cuz it's been sittin a few years .. but its worth it! no more pull start ....

remember that motor's kick starter will kick towards the rear, and it might not clear your fenders. I actually just bought a tlr200 dirtbike engine to put in my 200s frame.

that works for me .... i've got to cut my fender anyhow ... is there a difference between the XL and XR motor? or will either one work?
