can you get one of these unstuck? I dont know if its rust, cant find a kink. I have it soaking with pb blaster. anyone have any luck or do you usually just end up getting a new one? thanks jim

Cycle cables are (usually) a steel cable inside a nylon sheath, once its damaged, thats it. Even if the rust can be broken loose, the cable and nylon are both damaged.

I used to try and save them but it really isn't worth it. Even if you get it free and well oiled; a new cable will work so much better.
I still oil my good cables, but once they freeze up it's time to replace.
