ok, youll all think im crazy for going here, but humor me if you will.....i have an 85 200s, i grew up riding a 79 110. id like to make that 200s look as much like that old 110 as possible. will that 110 tank fit? will early 185 plastics fit it? will the old round style headlight bolt on? i bought a 110 recently but quickly sold it as i weigh way more now and also am much taller, ive been toolin around on the 200, way more comfortable for me....thanks in advance

Find a 1980 atc 185 front end assembly. They had the round headlight assy with the on/off knob on the top. 81 up were square. You'll need the whole fork and light setup. 110 tanks on a 200s, don't know about that?

With a little welding knowledge, some creativity and some money you probably get pretty close. You could bolt an earlier 185s front end on and have the solid front but you could actually bolt on a whole 110 front end. You would have to fab the rear tank mount and could probably even graft on 110 fenders. It would have to be one of those labors of love that some trikes tend to be. Just find the basic year 110 roller or not even a roller cause you only really need the front forks, tank and rear fenders. you would more than likely have to keep the 200s rear grab bar though, that would be really hard to do. I don't know how the fender proportions would end up looking but it would be an interesting excercise. The rear tank mount\front fender mount wouldn't be too hard to fab up, you could probably take one off an old junk aftermarket frame or make one up easy enough. If you have some spare cash, have fun.

well i think i will fab the mounts for the tank if need be, as far as the fenders, i think that i'll leave that alone as i think the 200s ones will only be noticed by those of you who really know your trikes. I'd like to keep the shocks on the forks, so I think i'll just go for the light and handlebar conversion. Do any of you know what was stock on that bike? Mine had black bars with a support bar, but after a crash and some stitches dad changed it to the later chrome stock style. anyone have those old black bars laying around? it wont be a perfect conversion, but it will be just enough to confuse everyone and please me myself and i. I just want to cruise around the yard with my daughters just the way my dad did when i was their size on it.....

dont forget the 110 is a horizontal motor and the 200S is a vertical motor. jim

Doesn't your 85 200s have that sloping seat? kind of goes up over the tank a bit? How about something a bit more "old-skool" looking....... maybe a seat of an '80 185? This seat kind of looks like a bigger version of a '79 110 seat and would look great with the older style tank. Sounds like a cool project.... :beer http://www.3wheelerworldforums.com/Brochures/ATCsite/80atc185.html

my thoughts were to take my upolstery guy a pic, most likely the one you linked me too and the seat and see what he can do? ive never seen a 185 like that........that tank might be what i should look for...

hey cab... I've always liked the '80 185. Its a completely different animal than the later 185s. Heavier, wider, bigger frame, 25 inch tires.... kind of like the original Big Red but with that older ATC look.. round headlight, non-suspended forks.... very cool looking. About the only thing the same between the 185 and the 185s I believe is the motor. :beer
