I swear there was another Honda model (beside 400EX) with the left case cover timing and flywheel caps that looked just like a 350X.

What I'm looking for is ones made from stainless steel. The ones I thought I had seen looked stainless, may have been polished aluminum but they didn't look to be. I believe it was a newer 400EX??

The old screwdriver style seems strongest but they are a pain to get off. The allen wrench ones I have attempted to use have snapped numerous times, evn when only gently tightened. There just isn't enough meat left after they broach in the allen hole.

Any thought??

i used 86 200x caps on my 350x ..... they have the allen head and are a breeze to remove.

300ex also uses these.... maybe 400ex too but i know the other 2 will work

i just got mine from the local hond dealer a week or 2 ago and they even had the smaller one in stock.....lol

Yes, I have the 200X caps too. Maybe they were old and brittle? They snapped like nothing. So I examined them and there is almost no meat between the 2 areas. I thought some model had SS but that wouldn't make sense anyhow because it's heavier and more $$ to machine. Maybe I'll try a couple of new ones.... Thanks bud

just to make sure of one thing...... you do know you dont have to tighten them down much at all....just snug them.

if they leak they need new o rings and not cranked down till they break
