I was wondering where you guys get the fittings for the ends of the braided brake hoses, and what size chain i will need for +3 swinger and a stock gear set-up. Also where's the best place to buy the chain/sprocket sets from. I'm going to go all new with them since its already apart anyway. Thanks for you help, and things like part #'s or a specific link count for the chain would be great because i really dont know how that stuff works, TC...

Was this a dumb question or something? Has anyone bought the sprockets/chain lot on ebay? I was wondering if they are decent quality or if somewhere like dennis kirk would be a better place to look? Any help would be appreciated, TC...

By the fittings, you must be talking about the banjo bolts????
Those usually come with the line, but if not many times your original bolts can be used.Or even other machines will work.Banshee 400ex etc.Make sure you also get the brass washers. Each bolt needs 2 of them.

I have no input on the chain and sprockets, other than buy a good kit with a o-ring chain form Denis Kirk or someone.Get a chain with the longest links available, and cut it to fit you application.

Make sure you are specific on the year of your 350x.The rear took different sprockets between 85 and 86.

It's a 350X - get an O or X ring chain - the engine can take the added resistance. I like Sunstar and other brand name sprockets, not an EBAY no namer.... Expect to pay over 100$ for a good quality set.

I run 20" tires so I upped the front sprocket one tooth for more speed and it helped out some. 22" with a stock engine probably suit stock sprockets best.

I am running a 400EX carb, 450R exhaust, increased jetting and an open AB lid.....

I will either drop the rear 2 or 3 teeth or try to stuff a 15 in the front as it still has more to go. I think it will rub the case guard so I'll probably drop the rear.

Thanks for the help i'll get on their website and place an order, the 'fittings' i was talking about on the brake lines are the actual hose ends that the bolt goes through, because i read another post about people having them made out of braided lines at local street rod shops. Thanks again guys...

a 15 will fit but you cant run the case guard at all

can you trim the sprocket guard to make it fit? I'm thinking of running a 15/38. would that work?

I'm running a 14 and it is real close, I think with 15 you'll have nothing left to save the motor if you throw the chain..

You may be happy with 14 - 37, I'm at 14 - 40 (only cuz the sprock is new) and it needs more but I'm running 20" tires too, not sure if you can buy 36 but I know there are companies that will make whatever you want.

Are you gonna run 20's or 22's??

dirtcrasher is right....you cant run the guard at all with a 15

you need to trim it for a 14.... or have a old worn gaurd

20 inch tires for now. it's looking like all i can find is a 14...anyone know where I can get a smaller rear?

the 350x has more than enough torque for me, i don't race, so cruising at 50ish would be nice.

A 13 - 40 with 20" tires will get ya 50mph no problem, a 14 a bit faster.

Deathman has posted a few times where he gets the custom sprockets but I don't think you need them................

just a hint for 350x front sprockets.....i use sun star 250r front sprockets on my 350x

they are double thick ( helps save the splines) and the ones i got had the 2 threaded holes in them for the mounting clip

pretty sure thats how we got 15t fronts
