I have a 1986 Honda 200x frame with a Honda 200 semi auto motor in it.

I need to find out what year the 200 motor is so I can make sure to get the correct gaskets for the rebuild that is happing as we speak.

On the motor block the numbers TB05E-2025470 ,but I have no clue what this means or where to look to find out what it means.

Can anyone please help me? I really need to go riding! And my 185 isn't as fun or easy to ride as the nice 200x with the semi-auto.

Thanks,

does the motor look like your 185 motor?

does the motor look like your 185 motor?

Yeah, it sure does. My 185 is a 1982, so the 200 is probably close to that year.

Thanks for the clue..

Now, is there a difference between a 1982 motor and a 1984 motor? Do they use the same gaskets?

The gasket kit says it's for 1984 and up, but I haven't found any for the older trikes.

Thanks again for the Help.:beer

Ive never heard of a 84 and up gasket set for the 200 motor.

I know most of auto 200 gaskets will fit up to 85. In 86-87 honda made significant changes to the 200 motors.

If it looks like your 185 than it probably uses the early style gaskets.

Right On! Thanks All for the very helpful info!
Sure is nice to find a message board that works.
Cause the closes bike shop that's worth a turd is 20 miles away, Even then they don't want to deal with the old trikes. They are always trying to push me to buy a quad.
But for now I'm having fun being free on three..haha :w00t:

Anyways thanks again everyone..
