Hi I am new to 3 Wheeler World even though I have had Trikes for about 30 odd years,

What I am in search of is a New Old Stock unused Honda ATC 250R ('83 AND '84)
chian slider, from the front of the swingarm.
I am currently about half way through a resto on my '83 ATC250R.
The reason I need this is I have a small company in Australia who reproduces this type of product and will reproduce these for us, but he needs a N.O.S one so that he can get a really good prduct.
These would then be for sale for about $50 to $60 australia, which is a bit cheaper for those in the U.S.A plus postage.
If anyone can assist I am willing to give them a new reproduction one free of charge including postage and will even pay for the postage to Australia.
Alternatively if you have a New Old Stock one for sale I will purchase it from you.

I have been chasing a N.O.S chain slider and could not find one, I did get hold of a really good one and have been studying how to reproduce them.

I have now taken a mould of them and hope to have one out of the mould in a week or so, I will keep you all posted as to progress and pics when the first one comes out.

If it all works out I should be able to reproduce them at a reasonable cost and they will be extremely close to the original item but colour will probably be black.

hmm HUFFA was also talking about getting the sliders made.
only difference was he was designing them so they were 2 pieces and could be replaced without taking the swingarm apart.
havent heard anything about them in a long time though.

let us know on prices, bud!

I have finally been successful in the reproduction of the '83 - '84 chain slider, it is made from black castable erapol.
They are not 100% perfect as the one I used for the mould was not perfect but they are reasonable for the price. (If I could get a N.O.S one they would then be perfect)
As I don't wish to handle posting etc I have made them available from Ric at ATC Heaven

Here is a couple of pics I took

There is one on ebay at the moment for sale secondhand and the bidding is currently at $126 It finally sold for $202.50
I would have loved to been able to afford it to take a mould from it.

Has anyone received one and tried it as yet, as I said they are not perfect but I need a perfect one to copy to get that.
We are just trying to keep old trikes going, at a reasonable cost.

I emailed the guy at ATC heaven and he said

"Hi Nick

Yes mate, I have those, price is $50 US including shipping.
Cheers
Ric"

I'm not sure why they dont post them up on their site.

I did a little searching and found that you can pretty easily mod a ltr450 chain slider to fit. This would be a cheaper alternative.
