1.Its a 4-stroke ?
2.Is it kick start or electric ?
3.What is the top speed going to be around ?
4.Does this look like a deal for $500 ?
Thanks, James

looks like a new chain will be needed. but yea its 200cc 4 stroke kick started honda motor. top speed is around 50-55 stock. they are fun trikes to say the least. but if you want speed your going to want a 250R or mod the ever loving crap out of that 200.
for 500.00 it looks ok but it dont matter what they look like. as long as its a good solid runner who cares what it looks like.

I don't want to be the downer here but, That is a $100 machine. You can get one in presting condition for $1000 and $500 should look beter than that. It looks like it was run hard and put away wet for the last 15 years. Offer him $100 put $400 into it and you will have a $500 machine.

What a joke ?

 I can gaurantee it will need more then that.
NOT WORTH even close to 500.
I'd stay away from it, even if it was cheaper.

it's in much better shape than mine was, granted mine was 200 bucks. but i had no fenders, an engine in a box, and so on. a 200x is just a big money pit anyways. if you're gonna drop a grand into a bike, it may as well be a better start than a 200x.
don't get me wrong, i love my X, and she's a beast in her own right, but it just isn't something to spend a crap ton of money on.

I agree with most of the others that $500 is too much for that machine, but if he's got someone who will pay him $800 for just the engine he should go for it. It's not gonna be someone from 3WW!

guys dont forget its all location. if they arnt too common in his area (like my area) things tend to go for allot more.
hell i saw a advertisement in the paper a while back for a big red for sale. 700.00 so i went to look at it for someone and it was just as bad if not worse than that x was. of course he didnt buy the big red but he was going to until he notices there was no compression.
now james: how common are trike in/around your area ?

hello
i would love to find a running 200x for 2 or 3 hundred but they are not to be found around here if you got the 500 and it runs i would buy it.
it always seems when i go to look at a trike they always want to rape me on the price.
