Which Year 300ex Shock On The 84-85 Tecate?

I was wondering what the proper year is for the Honda 300EX Tecate rear shock swap? Is it that model or another? Anyway I cant run the Raptor shock safely unless I get a longer hose to the bottle and the clamp on the frame is broke off anyway. Are these shocks any good for my Tecate and will they dial in for Ice Racing/Flat Track, and be good in the sand? I figure my Tecate is to nice and too expensive to slop around in mud and stones everyday. Its time to just plain Race her.:w00t: :beer
I want to get one within the next week for the Ice Racer build any suggestions on any nice shocks

they are all the same....87/88-91/92 250x and 93-08 300ex the shock is just a spring only so i would recomend an aftermarket rear shock for dampening and all that other adjustment.

a cheaper idea is a raptor 660 shock from 2001.
