Light hook up????

I have 70 cc pit bike motor that has electric start. is it possible to hook a lght to the wires for the electric starter . i dont mind running a switch for the lights but what i really want to know is if it will supply the power for a light.

As long as it has an internal alternator for that electric start, you can grab 12 volts off anywhere that 12 volts is present, like the on/off run switch. You could wire it so it would be hot when the switch is on "on" or "run" - whatever your machine has.

The starter only has a big wire that gets 12 volts when the start button is pushed. It is only "hot" when that starter is turning from the solenoid. Grab the power somewhere else and you should be golden.
