Some big fat dude with a silly looking hat dropped all this stuff off at my place recently. I guess I might as well put it to good use.

Looks pretty sweet. I wish I had a liquid cooled machine so I could get cool stuff for it. Maybe Santa will bring me a better machine next year.

It's working out well so far but I am modifying the manufacturers plan slightly for the placement of the graphics. With the tank sides and rad shroud covers, there is already a TON of coverage on the tank, so I am modding the tank centerpiece and moving it to the front fender. Two reasons for this...1) There is the obvious question as to whether or not these things will stick to tank longterm anyway, and 2) there is nothing in the kit for up front anyway and I thought it would be nice to spread the design out from front to back. Besides, who the hell will be looking at the tank from the riders seat but me anyway. I'm actually thinking about trying to perforate the side pieces like modern bike kits to try to alleviate the lifting/bubbling problem that will assuredly arise, but I'm a little stuck on just how to do it. Just piercing the pieces won't likely do. I need to figure out a way to punch clean little holes (1/16" or less) for it to do any really good, I think.

How thick is the vinyl? I've been wondering if a pounch wheel would work?
to put the little hole in the vinyl? I don't know because then you may have a problem of it laying down flat after running the pounch wheel over it. Just a thought.

It's pretty thick stuff, thicker than your average automotive graphic. 6 or 8 mil, I would guess. First impression tells me that it's pretty durable stuff.
The only two pieces I truly even need to worry about are the tank sides and they will be laying pretty well flat out.

What I was thinking won't work. That pretty thick.
I'm sure they will lay fine. Iwas just meaning after you would run the wheel over it the over side would stick out a bit.
If you would use it on on paper osr something you have to sand the back real
quick to knock the burs off. So guess I wasn't much help.

Turns out I was waaaay off on the thickness anyway...lol. 20 mill is a little closer to actual. This stuff is THICK. Reminds me of my ex.
Anyhoo, I'll figure something out. Here are a couple close-ups of the front fender with the modded tank piece on it. Worked out well, IMO.

Here are a few pics of the complete body with the kit installed. It took me a while to get the tank refinished to my satisfaction and then I had a friend stop by and assist with the shroud pieces. I also had the seat addressed during all this.

Thanx for the compliments guys...I'm really liking the way it's turning out. I've got several more things in the works for it right now but those will all stay a secret until the big reveal...lol.
