Hi guys

Have a question about an 84 Yamaha 225dx i bought a couple weeks back. It runs great and im doing a tune up on it. The thing im not sure about is if the rearend, does it need to be filled with gear oil or grease? I dont see a cap or anything to put oil in it. Unless its maintnance free or something. :TrikesOwn

Yeah huffa i do actually. The airbox is not complete, its missing the little square cover that goes on the back and also im missing the part that holds the foam filter. Was thinking of buying a k&N replacement that eliminates needing the airbox but if i could keep it stock i would prefer that.

On the chicago craigslist theres a guy selling a nice 250r that he says is running. He even has the title for it which is a plus, I would get it if i had the $$$ but cant right now. But maybe one of you guys would like to get this one. Check it out it looks nice. Its on the chicago craigslist under rv's.

Naaah, don't eliminate the air box and don't get a K&N, keep it stock! A foam filter is better for dirty/dusty conditions.

I'm quite sure I have all what you need.

Here is some important 225 airbox info ...........
