no i havent washed it yet i dont understnad would it could besides a head gasket b/c the oil and water looks good i think it has a bad head gasket b/c everything else is clean so its got to be mixing in the top of the head and shooting out the exhaust! stupid yamaha its not giveing me a good sign being my frist one!! :x

Normally when you get a head gasket leak, you dont get water in the cylinder, to get into your exhaust. It usually shows up as compression leaking into your cooling system. If you do have a leak between cylinder and jacket via headgasket, youll be able to see it, when you take the radiater cap off, and rev it. Everytime you rev, it will blow coolant out. With the cap on, it will blow coolant into the overflow everytime you rev it. Youll also have a gas/oil film in your coolant.

Pop the radiator cap and see if its milky too . Remember if you run a bike with a blown headgasket eventually all the coolant will leak out and then....Blamm-O

Maybe your sucking water through the intake, I get this with my TS185 occasionally... Doesn't harm it much, but then again i dont care about it.

How would it be possible to suck the water through the intake? especially on the Tri-Z(85's at least), the water doesn't go near the intake...as far as what I can see looking at the motor.

I think your Z is pregnent if it has milky stuff coming out of little holes.

Set up a camera. Your neighbor may be sneaking in at night and using the muffler for purposes other than it was intended for....

It's water and oil getting together somehow. You say it's your first yamaha. was it setting a while?

Hemi challenger71,I would like to know how you are getting water in your intake to,the TS 185 was air cooled. but it would be dam near impossible for a liquid cooled to do that either. Are you talking about like if you wash it or run it through a mud hole?

First off I don't own nor have EVER even see na tri-Z I was just making observations. I get h2o in my bike sometimes because I have a Uni clamp on filter, and it holds water in pretty well. So it gets soem water in there... probably good for it in some ways, bad in other ways, but like I care anyway...
