if you want it to run GOOD run AMSOIL synthetic racing blend at 50:1(recommended on the bottle!!!) and gearsaver in the tranny. nevermind what it says on the bike and manual that is ONLY for running HONDALUBE and that is also 1980's technology HUGE difference from today's technology!

In my 84 Airfooler I run Blue Marble at 32:1 in the tank and what ever I have on hand in the 10W30 flavor in the tranny. Right now I have cheap CarQuest oil in it. I change it frequently - no problems.
I run the Pro Honda 2-stroke oil at 20:1. http://www.worldofpowersports.com/cgi-bin/wop/08C35-AG21M01.html
As for the tranny oil, whatever decent 4-stroke oil I can find.
