I restored a couple three wheelers for my two boys. When I started they were pretty rough.

1983 Honda ATC 110 with a 1 over bore running a straight pipe (no muffler). Needless to say, he was really digging this "thumper".
The smaller one is a stock 1985 Honda ATC 70 that will be receiving some mods in the future.

how old/big is your boy on the 70, is he able to reach throttle brake and gearshift fine? i don,t have access to a 70 but have thought about getting one for my kid hes only 3 now but i think in 2 or 3 years he should be able to ride one maybe with a governor on the throttle or some thing? it would give me time to find one and start working on it.

The youngest is 3 and he can ride it just fine. He can operate the hand brake easy enough. He doesn't change the gears, I just start it up and put it in 2nd for him. He started off with the governor on the throttle until he learned to control it and then I took it off.
The oldest is 6 years old and he has ridden three wheelers (granddads) for years so he is fairly adept at riding at this point.

I agree, they won't ever forget those kinds of toys.
What are you riding to keep up with them?

Usually a Honda 250 four wheeler borrowed from my father-in-law.
