Top end paint ------>help<-------please

Hello, I restore a atc 125m and I want to know what kind of paint is good for paint my top end. Also do you paint the top end when the head is of or on the motor.If yes do you tape the cylinder hole and the gasket place.

if it was me i would paint it with the engine apart yes.
And yes tape off all gasket areas.
I'd use a highheat black paint. Kinda like a bbq paint.

you can do it with the cyl on or off - just be sure to make well and let it cure before messing with it. I use duplicolor high heat engine enamel 500*. The chrysler red looks pretty good on the old hondas. You should remove all the rust before you paint it.

Some guys swear by the PJ1 paint, never tried it myself.....
