well i had a scary breakdown yesturday

I was going to my neighbors on the 3 wheeler last night to drop off a x-mass gift and on the way my back left hub fell off with the wheel:wondering . Thank god for snow or i would be in a lot of pain. The wheel flew into the ditch and i spun out right behind it into the ditch. The hub was welded on and the whole threaded part broke off, but the splines are still there, so i can weld it back on good. Its wierd how you check to make sure your toy is ok before yourself!:lol: I might get some pics of it later if om not busy.

That's exactly why you don't weld axles! The welding process caused the steel to become brittle. Glad your alright and not spending Christmas like me, still laid up with a shoulder that was dislocated!
