I just picked up this Yammie for a nice project. paid $550 off a farmer that had it since new. got the owners manual, clymer manual and he even kept maint. records. it is really good condition except for some surface rust on handlebars, forks, etc. going to sandblast and refininsh. bought this to hunt with. the plastic and seat is perfect. what do you think?

runs just like 1984, once I cleaned the carb. out. it was gummed up pretty good. doesnt even smoke. there is a little noise in the rear-end that I am sure I will have to deal with at some point though.

Check on the neck of the trike. There should be a sticker on the tube that said the manufacturing date. It think the mfg date can be late 84, but it would be a 85 model.

you guys are absolutely right, it is an 85. thanks a lot for pointing that out before I bought any parts. the guys advertised it as an 84 and that is what he had written on the service manual as well. makes me feel a little better, my Dad called me stupid for paying $550 for a three wheeler! I thougth it was a good deal, runs like a top and has a little nostalgia to it. I told him run down to the yammie dealer and try to replace it!

I have one that looks just like it. Bought mine about the same way. Original owner . Very nice condition. I've been riding it for two years. Needs a head gasket now that it will get soon. Mine is a 1985 200 ERN. Mine came with the books and a clear title and a real nice 1983 Kawasaki Duckster. I gave the Duckster to my son. ( Duuuuu ) Love the Yamaha though.

Stupid for paying 550 for a three wheeler ? Sure beats paying 10 grand for a quad.
