'84 250R rear shock blown

Hi all, new to the forum, have n '84 250R with a blown rear shock, anyone know where I can get it rebuilt at a reasonable price? I live in Southern California, Orange County to be exact. I just bought a used on off EBay for $20.00 will know shortly if it is any good so I can ride till mine is rebuilt. Seems the '84 and older are like Redheaded Stepchildren, so hard to get parts for them. My chain slide is gone, there is a thread here somewhere about a guy making his own.
