So i got this machine 2 weeks ago, i have been going through it. today i got the rear bearings out, they were rust buckets! still working on the front ones. but i wanted to check my valve train. i have the online manual for it so i know what to set the valve slash at. but my cam chain auto tensioner was "ghetto rigged" in my terms. the small bolt on top was replaced with a much longer bolt that forces the tensioner far past the recommend length.
so my concern is that the cam chain is either stretched out really bad, and or my tensioner and guide is worn out bad. should i leave the crazy long bolt in there or install the normal bolt and let it adjust its self and see how it runs?
